The convertible roof, spoiler, door shuts and horn: we recorded this 2005 Porsche Boxster S as clean, isolated Foley, ready for any scene. Buttons, indicators, wipers, switches, dials, the boot, bonnet, handbrake and windows are included, plus start-ups and idles. Clicks, clunks, thuds and whirrs come through free of outside noise from our semi-anechoic studio, with squeaks, thumps and the odd whine. Three handheld rigs worked alongside onboard and static microphones, and impulse responses from inside the car round off this Porsche Boxster S Foley library.
We recorded the cabin with an ambisonic microphone, then delivered it as stereo, 5.1 surround and four-channel A Format, perfect for surround and VR work.
Every recorder is timecode-synced, and files carry their timestamps in the metadata, so every mic from an action lines up as it was recorded. Ready-made Reaper and Pro Tools sessions are included, so you can audition every perspective straight away.
Delivered uncompressed in 96kHz and 24-bit, the library keeps all its detail and nuance, with room to pitch and stretch sounds. Metadata is embedded in every file and file names are clear, so Soundminer and Basehead can find what you need quickly.

The library includes 24 impulse response recordings from inside the cabin, so you can place any sound inside the Porsche Boxster S. We played test signals through a Genelec 8020 speaker in the car and recorded them on the interior mics: clapper board hits, plus Audio Ease and Waves sweeps. These are raw recordings, ready to process in your own convolution tools, and the ReadMe explains each step.
