This 2017 Mercedes AMG C63 has a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 under its bonnet, and we recorded it both up close and at speed. It's a deep, crackling V8 that roars, growls and rasps, with a resonant intake and the odd pop and bang. Idles, gear changes, revving and show-off revs sit alongside fierce drive-offs, fast pass-bys and a few skids. With onboard perspectives and trackside recordings, this Mercedes AMG C63 sound library has all the character of a modern AMG V8, wrapped in a saloon that looks far calmer than it sounds.
We recorded the cabin with an ambisonic microphone, then delivered it as stereo, 5.1 surround and four-channel A Format, perfect for surround and VR work. We edit out the speech between driver and crew, so you get clean cabin sound. Surround files aren’t available in the Short & Sweet library.
Every recorder is timecode-synced, and files carry their timestamps in the metadata, so every mic from a manoeuvre lines up as it was recorded. Ready-made Reaper and Pro Tools sessions come with the Standard Pack, so you can audition every perspective straight away.
Delivered uncompressed in 96kHz and 24-bit, the library keeps all its detail and nuance, with room to pitch and stretch sounds. Metadata is embedded in every file and file names are clear, so Soundminer and Basehead can find what you need quickly.
To help you quickly find the sounds you are looking for, we have included extensive metadata in every file. Our file naming and metadata can be read by sample library search tools such as Soundminer & Basehead.
