We put sixteen microphones on this 2010 Ferrari 599 GTO, capturing its 6.0L V12 from the smallest detail to full acceleration. Growling revs, crackling exhausts and roaring pass-bys are here, with whirring, whistling detail and plenty of pops and rumbles. Revving, gear changes, coasting and show-off revs share space with onboard driving and drive-offs. Mics in the engine bay and above the exhausts worked alongside four trackside rigs, so this Ferrari 599 GTO sound library brings one of Ferrari's great V12s straight to your sessions.
We recorded the cabin with an ambisonic microphone, then delivered it as stereo, 5.1 surround and four-channel A Format, perfect for surround and VR work. We edit out the speech between driver and crew, so you get clean cabin sound. Surround files aren’t available in the Short & Sweet library.
