This 1991 Ferrari 512 TR is a true classic, and its naturally aspirated 4.9L flat-12 sounds as special as it looks. That wide, twelve-cylinder sound is unlike anything else, roaring, rasping and whining all the way up the rev range. Gear changes, idles, limiter runs and a few skids join hair-raising drive-offs and visceral pass-bys. With onboard microphones in the engine bay and around the exhaust and more along the track, this Ferrari 512 TR sound library has all the drama of a classic Italian supercar.
We recorded the cabin with an ambisonic microphone, then delivered it as stereo, 5.1 surround and four-channel A Format, perfect for surround and VR work. We edit out the speech between driver and crew, so you get clean cabin sound. Surround files aren’t available in the Short & Sweet library.
