Introducing the Ambient Cars sound library! A collection of ambient car recordings captured at two different high speed events. The first part of this collection, recorded at a Welsh Hill Rally, captures the thrilling sounds of racing rally cars. From fast cornering pass-bys to distant whines and backfires, our three external microphone rigs perfectly captured the sound of rally cars in action. The second part was recorded at The VMAX 200 the UK’s premier top-speed driving event, where owners of sports cars, supercars, and hypercars drive their cars to the limit. We were lucky enough to get up close and personal with these cars at the start line and record every spine-tingling detail as they sped off into the distance. This library was recorded over two days with both handheld and static mics positioned around the cars pre-launch. Day one featured a mixture of the world’s most exciting and exotic cars, while day two focused on the snarls and growls of Jaguars.
Surround files were recorded from trackside perspectives, perfect for surround and VR applications.
Our Sound Library is special, as we have a timecode synced every recorder for simple DAW session reconstruction. This makes it incredibly easy to align every mic perspective from a chosen manoeuvre.
Delivered uncompressed in 96kHz, 24-bit the library contains detail, nuance and offers you full creative freedom.
