The Ford Mustang EcoBoost represents a modern take on American performance. Its turbocharged 2.3L engine delivers sharp power, rapid spool, and a distinct tone that sets it apart from the classic V8. To capture that unique sound, we used high-quality microphones placed throughout the car. The microphones were mounted in the engine bay, near the exhausts and inside the intake to record every spool, whistle, crackle, and rev with clarity. Additionally, we positioned external trackside microphones to capture the EcoBoost as it starts, revs, and surges past at speed. As a result, these recordings give creators an authentic, high-quality EcoBoost sound experience.
We recorded ambisonic surround files from the interior perspective, perfect for surround and VR applications.
Every recorder is timecode-synced for simple DAW session reconstruction, making it incredibly easy to sync every mic perspective from a chosen manoeuvre. We have included ready-made Reaper and Pro Tools sessions with the standard pack.
Delivered uncompressed in 96kHz and 24-bit, the library contains detail, nuance and offers you full creative freedom.
