The Honda Civic Type R FK8 is a modern hot hatch built for performance. Its 2L VTEC Turbo engine delivers an aggressive mix of induction noise, turbo spool and sporty exhaust tone.
To capture its authentic sound, high-quality microphones were placed throughout the vehicle, including the engine bay, intake and exhaust system, to record every rev and acceleration in perfect detail. External microphones were also used to capture start-ups, pass-bys, and runs as the Type R drives past at speed. These recordings provide a true, high-quality Honda Civic Type R FK8 sound experience for film, games, and sound design.
We recorded ambisonic surround files from the interior perspective, perfect for surround and VR applications.
Every recorder is timecode-synced for simple DAW session reconstruction, making it incredibly easy to sync every mic perspective from a chosen manoeuvre. We have included ready-made Reaper and Pro Tools sessions with the standard pack.
